Hi

I'm also happy to abide by the rules. When you say all posts are moderated, does that mean all new posts and all replies are checked before they are posted on to the forum?

Thanks,

Bernadette

At the moment, yes, all responses are monitored. I am looking at finding a quick solution for this or perhaps it will require more admin in the future.

I hope this helps.

Hi All,

I am also happy to abide by the rules.

Gosh, you will have your work cut out reading all responses. Would a 'report' function help reduce this a little?

Glad to be here.

Hi there is a report function available, would this be enough to settle minds? This is all for you to help me make decisions. At the moment I can only moderate on my laptop, I am hoping to find out if there is an app available for me to do this out and about.

Thank you again.

As it is a closed forum, I would have thought the report function would be enough, and I do wonder how difficult it might be for you to keep up with the potential volume of posts, which once up and running could require a full team in order to fully read and check for potential issues.

However, having said that, I have not had an experience of someone being horrid (trolling) online, so it is an alien concept to me. I guess the concern is, once someone has been vile online and upset/distressed someone, that damage is done, not only to the person/people on the receiving end, but to everyone that see's it as well as damaging the reputation and trust of the forum as being a safe space to be able to share experiences and feelings and to get support.

Sorry, I think I have only assisted in muddying the waters on this point.

I think I have come up with the solution... Those who are registered the comments go up automatically but guests have to be moderated. This is exactly why I wanted to gather opinions. Could everyone also look at this: https://jennifergilmour.com/AbuseTalkForum/question-and-answer/beta-testers/#post-18

Thank you

Jennifer
